How To Prepare For Amazon Black Friday Deals 2025 ?

Amazon Black Friday Deals are getting closer. It is time to start preparing for this year's Black Friday event. In this blog post from deals to optimizing listings, we briefly explained how to get ready for Amazon Black Friday.

What Is Black Friday Sales Shopping Event?

Black Friday is one of the busiest and most important shopping events with many discounts, promotions, and more. Millions of people are chasing great deals across marketplaces, and many businesses are seeing increased sales during the period of the event. For example, in 2024, the total online sales in the United States during Black Friday were 10.8 billion USD, and the estimated total sales on Amazon during Black Friday in 2024 were approximately 900 million USD

Additionally, since the Cyber Monday sales and the Christmas holiday shopping season follow Black Friday, the increased sales velocity may stay higher than usual for a period of time as well. As sales are expected to increase during the Black Friday sales, it is essential to prepare and be ready to capitalize on the opportunity to boost sales.

How To Prepare For Amazon’s Black Friday Sales?

Last year, Black Friday was on November 29th, but the event took place as Black Friday week, starting from the 21st, and it was followed by Cyber Monday. Even though there is no official announcement yet for this year’s Black Friday sales event, there are some preparations you can make.

  • Plan Your Deals (Discounts)

Black Friday is typically known for great discounts available for a limited time. If your business or brand plans to run deals and promotions for the event, deciding which items to discount and how much to discount them can be a good starting point. If you have data from previous Black Friday events, you can use it to identify which products performed well. As mentioned, there’s no official announcement yet, but you can regularly check the deals dashboard to see if Cyber Monday or Black Friday deals are listed among upcoming events. Please remember that “to be eligible for deals, you must be a professional seller with an overall rating of at least 4.0 stars.” You can review other eligibility criteria on the same link.

  • Plan Inventory, Shipping, And Warehouse

Planning your stocks and inventory is another important preparation step. Since sales and traffic are expected to increase during these events, ensuring that you have enough inventory stocked and ready to be sent is essential. If you have best-selling products or other items you’re expecting to sell more during this period, planning accordingly can help you avoid running out of stock earlier and potentially losing sales. Also, according to Amazon, “Deals with large quantities and inventories may also have an advantage in being selected!”  Additionally, as mentioned above, if you have previous data from past events, it can be helpful in making more accurate estimations.

While planning your inventory is essential, planning the warehouses and shipments is also crucial. If your business is handling warehousing, packaging, and shipment by itself, you can make some preparations to make sure everything goes smoothly once the sales event starts. For example, labeling everything clearly and packaging some of the kits or bundles beforehand can be helpful in preventing confusion during busy periods. Additionally, if available, working with multiple carriers can be a prudent precaution. In case of any problems with one of the carriers you work with, your business won’t be affected as much, and can continue to work with the other carriers in the meantime.

If your business isn’t handling all the shipments and warehousing, then planning to use services like Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) can be a good choice. You’ll ship your products/inventory to Amazon, and they will store your products in their fulfillment centers. Once a customer places an order, your products will be ready for shipment. You can use the Amazon MCF with many ecommerce marketplaces and stores. You can find the list of integrations here. Amazon will handle the delivery and provide tracking to the customer.

  • Optimize Your Listings

You may already have lots of listings on Amazon, but taking another look at them before the events and making sure that they’re optimized and ready can be another good step for preparation. Updating the photos and descriptions, and ensuring they are optimized for mobile devices, are key elements to check. Considering that 70% of the global online sales were from mobile devices, the last part is now much more important than ever.

  • Use Amazon Ads

After your preparations are completed, last but not least, you can use Amazon Ads to try boosting your sales and reach even further. For example, if you’re expecting certain products in your inventory to sell more than the others, you can try running ads for those items to make them even more visible. Also, while you’re preparing your ads for Black Friday, you need to follow certain rules. Such as, “references to “Black Friday” or “Cyber Monday” should not mislead customers as to the duration of the deal. All deals must be live and accurate on the dates that they are running.” Also, if you’re planning to run ads in different countries, they might have a different set of rules. You can find those rules in the above link as well.
